Feel is a fictional brand that I created for my packaging design class. This project was designed for the Gen Z female demographic and was designed to be a personal spa kit brand. Feel serves as a way for the consumer to have a relaxing evening after a busy week. I was tasked with creating a design system that could be applied to the packaging of multiple distinct products without breaking brand consistency. This included making packaging for five different products, one of which had to be a box. I chose to design packaging for products such as an African net sponge, epsom salts, facial cleanser, body lotion, and shower gel. I was also tasked with creating a physical version of the box by cutting it out with a Cricut and creating a presentation and presenting all of the designs.

Problem: I was tasked with creating a brand that could be applied to the packaging of multiple products without breaking brand consistency. I then also had to fully design the packaging of five different products with one of them having to be a box.

Solution: I decided to make a spa kit brand meant for individuals to purchase after a busy week. I then made a playful letter mark that vaguely resembles a flower encapsulated inside an organic form that represents a mineral. I used the form of the mineral as a compositional element that could placed in different ways across the different packages and also used it as the shape of some of the labels itself to maintain consistency. For all of the text, I used a typeface that I created myself called ‘Inky’ and researched common ingredients found in each of the products to accurately label them.

THE PROCESS

These are sketches, rough drafts, and sporadic thoughts that led to the final product.
